The faculty at Reading School of Pharmacy leads globally recognized research spanning three key disciplines, which serve as potential PhD specializations: Pharmaceutics and Pharmaceutical Chemistry, Pharmacology, and Pharmacy Practice.
We provide adaptable study options tailored to individual requirements. Our PhD program can be pursued full-time over three years or part-time across four to six years. Both study formats are available either on-campus in Reading or through distance learning for international students residing outside the UK.

Qualification Requirements
To be accepted to study for a PhD, applicants will normally need to have an undergraduate degree of at least an Upper Second-class/2.1 (or equivalent) and/or a master's degree, in a subject related to the proposed PhD topic. In some areas of the University (particularly in the arts, humanities, social sciences and business) applicants are normally only accepted if they have a master's level qualification.
