Pursue your PhD in Biomedical Sciences with us to investigate prevalent health challenges facing today's society. Our research focuses on aging, cancer, diabetes, obesity, and cardiovascular conditions, particularly examining heart function, blood clotting, and thrombosis. We provide adaptable study options tailored to your circumstances. The PhD program can be completed full-time in three years or part-time over four to six years. Both study formats are available either on-campus in Reading or through distance learning for international students.

Qualification Requirements
To be accepted to study for a PhD, applicants will normally need to have an undergraduate degree of at least an Upper Second-class/2.1 (or equivalent) and/or a master's degree, in a subject related to the proposed PhD topic. In some areas of the University (particularly in the arts, humanities, social sciences and business) applicants are normally only accepted if they have a master's level qualification.
