Our Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) Secondary (Computer Science) program grants Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), enabling you to teach students aged 11-18 in secondary schools across England and Wales.
You'll learn cutting-edge methods for planning and delivering computing lessons, drawing on the latest pedagogical approaches and critical analysis of educational theories and practices.
PGCE participants gain from working alongside our distinguished faculty - experts in computing education and IT who are actively involved in teaching, research, and shaping national computer science curricula, as well as international Technology Enhanced Learning (TEL) initiatives. The program offers numerous chances for professional networking and partnerships with prominent organizations such as the British Computer Society (BCS) and Computing at School (CAS), plus insights from current department heads and practicing educators. Discover how our PGCE graduates influence broader subject-specific educational developments.
