The MSc in Cognitive Neuroscience provides comprehensive training in interdisciplinary cognitive neuroscience, along with foundational knowledge in psychology and neuropsychology, with elective options in developmental psychology and psychopathology.
This program prepares students for advanced research and academic pursuits, particularly for doctoral studies in psychology, neuroscience, clinical psychology, or related disciplines. With a strong research focus, it develops crucial competencies in analytical reasoning, methodological expertise, critical evaluation, and other transferable skills like programming.
Students will acquire expertise in both neurobiological and psychological dimensions of cognitive neuroscience, along with highly applicable analytical techniques such as statistical analysis and programming. The program also offers research collaboration opportunities with clinical partners and specialized centers within the School, including the Centre for Autism and the NHS Anxiety and Depression in Young People Research Unit.
Participants will enhance their analytical and evaluative capabilities while gaining hands-on experience with state-of-the-art facilities, including brain imaging technology, eye-tracking systems, psychophysiological measurement tools, nutritional assessment equipment, and virtual reality/haptic laboratories.
