Upon completion, you'll be prepared to influence the nursing profession's evolution.
Graduates qualify to register with the Nursing and Midwifery Council (NMC) as 'Registered Nurse - Child Health' professionals. The program equally emphasizes theoretical studies and hands-on experience in medical facilities and local communities. Your education will involve collaborating with various healthcare specialists across different nursing disciplines.
Pediatric nurses provide care for patients ranging from newborns to teenagers dealing with either sudden or chronic medical conditions. These specialists excel at understanding young patients' emotions, behaviors, and expressions to detect health deteriorations. They guide families through difficult times by applying evidence-based medical approaches.
