The Foundation pathway offers alternative entry routes for students to advance to the BA (Hons) Photography degree. This preparatory year helps learners cultivate abilities in diverse media forms while establishing creative methodologies to prepare for undergraduate studies. Throughout this initial phase, participants can investigate artistic techniques spanning visual design, animation, illustration, print media, fine arts, and photographic practices.
This program fosters artistic experimentation and innovative discovery within a dynamic studio environment. After satisfactorily finishing the Foundation year, students transition into the BA (Hons) Photography degree program, possessing the necessary competencies and understanding to thrive in their undergraduate studies.

The Foundation route creates alternative access points for progression to the BA (Hons) degree. This preparatory phase enables skill development across multiple media disciplines while introducing professional creative standards for undergraduate preparation. During this year, participants can examine artistic approaches applicable to visual communication, motion graphics, drawn imagery, printed artworks, contemporary art, and photographic techniques. The curriculum promotes visual investigation and artistic breakthroughs within an inspiring studio atmosphere. Upon successful Foundation completion, learners advance to the BA (Hons) program with the essential capabilities and knowledge for degree achievement.
