We're dedicated to tackling today's most pressing issues through impactful research. Our studies extend across species, enhancing animal health and wellbeing. This includes using technology to decrease sheep lameness, investigating cancer, heart disease, and degenerative conditions, as well as examining viruses and bacteria to develop more effective treatments.
In your initial year, you'll complete a report and a confirmation review. This evaluation involves a written assessment of your thesis and current progress, incorporating feedback from your primary supervisor.

A set number of official, recorded supervision meetings must be attended, along with submitting a research portfolio that outlines both structured and informal training activities.

Successful completion of the confirmation review is mandatory to continue in the PhD program. Those who don't pass may receive an MRes qualification as an alternative.
