This dynamic course in food production management merges food science with leadership training, preparing science and engineering graduates for roles in food manufacturing or technical supervision. Students gain expertise in food processing techniques, quality control, and innovative product creation while mastering key management strategies like supply chain coordination and quality systems.
Through facility tours, case analyses, and industry expert presentations, participants receive extensive professional exposure. Our problem-solving curriculum addresses actual industry challenges, with corporate briefs guiding new product initiatives. Hands-on training occurs in our fully-equipped Food Processing Center, featuring industrial-scale manufacturing and analysis tools.
Students may conduct their capstone research in partnership with food sector companies, choosing between facility-based, lab-oriented, or literature-focused projects. Selected participants can complete their research at partner organization sites.
