Course introduction In today's world of smart devices and the growing demand for sustainable energy solutions, our program offers comprehensive knowledge about computing systems and essential software for technological advancement. Much of your learning will occur in laboratory settings, where you'll work both independently and collaboratively on group projects. The curriculum covers topics including analog and digital electronics, circuit design, computing systems, communication technologies, and electrical energy applications. Upon completing this degree, your dual expertise in hardware and software engineering will open doors to fulfilling career opportunities across various industries. Our program equips you with the essential engineering skills needed for professional success in engineering or related fields. All first-year students in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering follow a shared curriculum, with the flexibility to switch specializations until the conclusion of their second year's third semester. Options to incorporate or remove study abroad and industrial placement years remain available after enrollment. By your third year, you can focus on specialized subjects aligned with your professional goals. MEng applicants receiving offers will also receive conditional BEng offers, ensuring automatic admission to the BEng program if MEng requirements aren't met but BEng criteria are satisfied. Qualification Requirements

A level – AAA; Required subjects - Maths and one of electronics, computer science, physics, chemistry, biology, further mathematics, design and technology: systems control or design technology: design engineering H404. GCSE English grade 4 (C). Excluded subjects - General Studies, Critical Thinking, Citizenship Studies, Global Perspectives and Research, and Thinking Skills. IB score - 34 Points overall or 666 in 3 Higher Level Certificates. IB requirements - One of HL6 Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches, HL6 Mathematics: Applications and Interpretation OR SL7 Mathematics: Analysis and Approaches AND 6 at HL in one of Biology, Chemistry, Physics or Computer Science. RQF Level 3 BTEC National Extended Diploma in Engineering – D*DD including Distinction in units: Engineering Principles, Calculus to Solve Engineering Problems and Further Engineering Maths. RQF Level 3 BTEC National Diploma in Engineering or Science and A Levels – D*D + A in A Level Maths; RQF Level 3 BTEC National Extended Certificate in Engineering and A Levels – D + AA to include A Level Maths; RQF Level 3 BTEC National Extended Certificate in any subject and A Levels - D + B in A Level Mathematics and a B in on of A Level Physics, Chemistry, Biology, Electronics, Design & Technology, Computing, Further Mathematics, or Design Engineering. Access to HE Diploma - Access to HE Diploma 36 Level 3 credits at Distinction (to include a minimum of 15 Level 3 credits at Distinction in Mathematics) and 9 Level 3 credits at Merit. IELTS - 6.0 (no less than 5.5 in any element), TOEFL (iBT) - 80 (with a minimum of 17 in writing and listening, 18 in reading and 20 in speaking).
