This course prepares you to craft spaces that enhance our surroundings while benefiting the environment.For those considering architecture studies with a focus on eco-conscious design, our four-year M.Eng program provides specialized training in building environmental systems.Upon completion, you'll possess the skills to design exceptional architecture with thorough consideration of climate factors and occupant comfort.The first year establishes core design and presentation fundamentals through studio modules. In subsequent years (2-4), you can specialize by selecting from up to 12 studio units aligned with your interests. Our unique vertical studios combine students from both the M.Eng and BArch programs across different years, fostering mentorship and collaborative learning.Through diverse teaching methods including workshops, field trips, and real-world projects with clients and professionals, we develop the competencies architectural firms value.Located at University Park, you'll utilize outstanding resources including design studios, workshops, cutting-edge renewable energy labs, and expert technical support.Students can enter prestigious competitions like the CIBSE Young Engineer Award and Royal Academy British Institution Award. Our program boasts numerous accolades including the AJ Student Prize 2021 (undergraduate), RIBA Bronze Medal (2017), and RIBA Sergeant Award for Excellence in Drawing (2020).This RIBA-validated program fulfills Part One requirements for UK architectural licensure and holds Engineering Council accreditation through CIBSE.Career prospects:
