Our program prepares students to become self-assured sport rehabilitators, armed with the expertise, competencies, and adaptability to practice autonomously in various sports, healthcare, rehabilitation, and exercise settings. Recognized by the British Association of Sport Rehabilitators and Trainers (BASRaT), our BSc Sport Rehabilitation course hones your clinical evaluation and therapeutic abilities to assist patients and athletes of all ages in their post-injury recovery. We focus on cultivating sport rehabilitation professionals in an encouraging, growth-oriented atmosphere. You'll engage with crucial aspects of injury prevention, health maintenance, wellness enhancement, and athletic performance optimization, creating and executing tailored exercise and rehabilitation plans for your clients. With our strong reputation in sports achievements, you'll benefit from top-tier facilities at our David Ross Sports Village to complement your education. Additionally, you'll accumulate valuable clinical exposure through 400+ hours of practical placements in sports settings, including potential work at the University Sports Injury Clinic. Graduate sport rehabilitators (GSRs) possess a solid grasp of core rehabilitation principles and exercise science, with hands-on experience applying theory to practice and employing therapeutic techniques in real-world scenarios. GSRs also demonstrate dedication to advancing public health and wellness. Throughout the program, you'll refine these capabilities along with research proficiency, invest significant time in personal growth, and develop leadership qualities for international professional environments. GSRs find employment across diverse sectors including sports organizations, healthcare institutions, and occupational health. Career paths include private practice, professional team collaborations, club settings, leisure industry roles, and positions within the Ministry of Defence. Opportunities also exist in academic research and teaching fields.

Required subjects
A levels must include a biological science or PE.
A pass is required in science practical tests, where these are assessed separately. However, we will make allowances where Covid-19 has been the reason for practical test results being unavailable. General studies is not accepted.
Plus a minimum of five GCSEs at grade 4 (C) or above, taken in one sitting, which include maths, English language/literature and biology/double science.
Please note: you must have achieved the GCSEs at the point of application and not at the point of entry.
