In today's world of interconnected smart devices and the urgent global demand for sustainable energy solutions, our program offers comprehensive knowledge about the computing systems and software driving technological progress. Much of your learning will occur in laboratory settings, through both individual work and collaborative projects. You'll explore topics including analog and digital electronics, circuit design, computing systems, communication technologies, and electrical energy applications. Our program equips you with essential engineering skills for careers in various technical fields and beyond. In your second year, you have the option to study at our China or Malaysia campus, immersing yourself in different cultures while following the same UK curriculum taught entirely in English. This year focuses on core subjects along with specialized electives based on your chosen focus areas.
All electrical and electronic engineering undergraduates begin with a shared foundation, maintaining flexibility to switch specializations until the conclusion of their second year's third semester. Students can also opt to incorporate or remove international study or industry placement years after enrollment. By your third year, you'll have the opportunity to concentrate on subjects aligning with your professional goals. Career opportunities Graduates develop versatile skills that open doors to exciting roles in software engineering, telecommunications (including fiber optics and mobile networks), aerospace innovation, automotive systems, and green energy technologies.
