Our PhD/MPhil Pharmacology program offers you the opportunity to conduct a research project that advances knowledge in Pharmacology. Our research spans diverse areas, including:
studying drug efflux transporters like ABCB1 P-glycoprotein, ABCG2 breast cancer resistance protein, and ABCC multidrug resistance-associated transporters,
creating sophisticated in vitro cell models to examine drug transport, metabolism, and delivery,
exploring the pharmacological and molecular processes governing drug efflux transporters, especially in the blood-brain barrier,
analyzing how blood-brain barrier transporters influence central nervous system drug delivery and their dysfunction in conditions like Alzheimer's disease,
examining lipid networks' biological functions in health and disease, particularly their involvement in inflammation and cellular communication,
utilizing lipidomics with mass spectrometry to study lipid profiles in normal and disease states,
investigating lipids' role in skin health and their response to inflammation and injury,
researching local hormones' impact on female reproductive disorders such as endometriosis and preterm labor,
identifying and characterizing receptors in the female reproductive system,
studying placental physiology and developing targeted therapies for placental growth enhancement,
