Our Biostatistics PhD/MPhil program allows you to pursue a research initiative aimed at advancing knowledge in Biostatistics. Supporting our collaborative clinical and healthcare research is a dynamic methodological research agenda. Key research areas in biostatistics focus on designing and analyzing randomized trials and epidemiological investigations, including analysis of extensive e-health data and statistical modeling of high-dimensional genomic/biomarker information along with clustered or correlated results.
Specifically, our research encompasses:
Contemporary statistical methods for causal inference
Developing and evaluating efficient and adaptive randomized controlled trials
Meta-analytical techniques
Analyzing large e-health databases like CPRD and HFEA
Implementing sophisticated statistical models, including Bayesian approaches, for high-dimensional genomic/biomarker data, neuroscience, and clustered/correlated outcomes in assisted reproduction studies
Computationally demanding statistical techniques
Genetic epidemiology
Predictive and prognostic modeling
