Our PhD program in Humanitarianism and Conflict Response stems from the necessity to perform thorough, detailed research examining both current and past humanitarian crises. The program aims to influence policy and practice, enhance collaboration among partner organizations, and stimulate scholarly discussion in humanitarian studies and global health. This three-year full-time program (or six-year part-time option) involves writing a thesis under the supervision of two specialists, with progress reviewed by a research panel that includes an independent reviewer. We encourage applications from students interested in interdisciplinary research spanning global health, emergency response, and humanitarian assistance. As an HCRI postgraduate researcher, you'll become part of a vibrant, supportive academic community with diverse research interests across disciplines, regions, historical periods, and subject areas.
