The PGCE Secondary (Physics with Mathematics) program prepares you to teach both physics and math to students aged 11-16 or 11-18. By qualifying in these high-demand subjects, you'll enhance your career prospects. The course covers the National Curriculum, GCSE, and A-level requirements, culminating in a postgraduate qualification and Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Through university-led sessions, you'll explore teaching methodologies while collaborating with experienced educators, PGCE instructors, and representatives from examination boards and the Institute of Physics. Certain classes are conducted jointly with the University's science departments to maximize access to academic resources, as well as with Manchester Museum and the Museum of Science and Industry.
