Our Master of Science in Medical Imaging Science explores a diverse field crucial for diagnosis, treatment tracking, and patient care. Imaging serves as a vital instrument in medical investigations, with growing potential to connect imaging findings with genetic characteristics across individuals and groups. Innovative imaging biomarkers for diseases can facilitate quicker, more accurate diagnoses and guide pharmaceutical development strategies. Since medical imaging integrates expertise from anatomy, physiology, pathology, pharmacology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, engineering, and computing, our program is ideal for those seeking to broaden their knowledge in these areas. The curriculum addresses the fundamental principles and technologies underlying major medical imaging techniques, along with cutting-edge imaging approaches, clinical and research uses, diagnostic markers, and computational techniques. Students will discover how sophisticated imaging methods are employed in medical studies and pharmaceutical research, with particular focus on magnetic resonance (MR) and positron emission tomography (PET). Additionally, the program provides instruction in computational and quantitative image analysis techniques or in evaluating clinical images from various imaging systems.
