The MSc Research Methods is an intensive master's program tailored for aspiring PhD candidates and those pursuing research careers. This program emphasizes rigorous research skill development alongside advanced education studies. It meets the ESRC's research training criteria for two scholarship types offered through the North West Social Science Doctoral Training Partnership (NWSSDTP): the standard three-year PhD scholarship (3) and the extended four-year option (1+3) that includes a qualifying master's year. This course is particularly suitable for applicants seeking NWSSDTP ESRC funding or scholarships from the School of Environment, Education and Development. All NWSSDTP-recognized master's programs must fulfill ESRC's baseline research training standards.
