This one-year postgraduate program serves as a specialized track within the MSc in Pure Mathematics, culminating in a degree focused on Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Logic. Designed for both aspiring PhD candidates seeking foundational preparation and students aiming to deepen their understanding of advanced mathematical and logical concepts, the program combines coursework with a dissertation component. The academic year begins in September with structured teaching sessions that continue through the second semester, concluding in late Spring, followed by dissertation work from June to September. Participants typically complete six academic units alongside a dedicated research skills and project module. Those following the Pure Mathematics and Mathematical Logic pathway will focus on logic-based units while incorporating select pure mathematics coursework. The research module begins with a mini-project to refine mathematical writing abilities, followed by a supervised expository project exploring a specific mathematical topic. Instruction is delivered through traditional lectures, supplemented by practical examples, project-based learning, and independent study using provided materials.
