Our Master of Science in Health Psychology program caters to students pursuing careers in health psychology and holds accreditation from the British Psychological Society (BPS). Graduates who complete this BPS-accredited program and possess Graduate Basis for Chartership can advance to Stage 2 training, qualifying them to become BPS Chartered Psychologists and HCPC-registered Health Psychologists. Instruction comes from faculty at the Manchester Centre for Health Psychology, addressing subjects including: fundamental health psychology theories and their practical application, contemporary methods for modifying health behaviors across individual, societal, and policy levels, the interplay between psychological factors (thoughts, emotions, actions) and physical conditions, how sociocultural influences impact health, sophisticated quantitative and qualitative research methodologies, and health psychology's function in academic and clinical environments. Additionally, students can participate in seminars, attend a research conference highlighting Manchester's latest health psychology studies, and undertake a professional placement.
