This one-year Master's program in chemistry serves as excellent preparation for doctoral studies or for students seeking to expand their research expertise and chemical knowledge. The curriculum includes 90 credits of coursework during the initial six months, followed by an extensive 90-credit research project. First semester modules provide comprehensive coverage of fundamental and advanced chemistry concepts, along with specialized training in scientific communication, research methodologies, and presentation techniques. During the second semester, students select six advanced chemistry modules from nine available options. The research component offers opportunities to work with leading research teams in the department, conducting projects within their specialized laboratories.

Qualification Requirements
We require a UK bachelor's degree with a second class (2.2) classification or the international equivalent in Chemistry. Candidates should demonstrate a background in organic, inorganic, physical and analytical/laboratory chemistry. When assessing your academic record we take into account the grades you have achieved, your academic references and the standing of the institution where you studied your qualification. All applicants will need to demonstrate competency in English language. Applicants who do not already possess an acceptable English Language qualification will need to take a recognised test and attain the required English Language score: IELTS: at least 6.5 overall with no sub-test below 6.0. TOFEL iBT: at least 90 overall with no sub-test below 20. We do not accept 'MyBestScore'.
