Our MA Heritage Studies graduate program is designed for students seeking to enhance their expertise and hands-on abilities for careers in heritage policy, administration, preservation, education, public outreach, and cultural entrepreneurship. This program explores both the theoretical foundations and practical applications of heritage creation, stewardship, and utilization across local, national, and global settings. The curriculum combines concrete conservation techniques with an examination of the social, political, and economic factors influencing cultural, archaeological, architectural, and environmental heritage. Students engage with fundamental courses in critical heritage studies alongside specialized modules that allow for professional focus areas, including: digital preservation techniques, exhibition design and audience engagement, natural landscape conservation, historic property management, sustainable heritage development, international heritage policies, educational programming, safeguarding intangible cultural traditions, and strategic project leadership in heritage initiatives. Through our established internship network, participants can acquire valuable field experience while critically reflecting on professional practice within diverse heritage institutions throughout the region and beyond.
