Manchester stands as a premier hub for economics education and research-driven learning. International graduate students choose Manchester for economics studies, drawn by our exceptional postgraduate programs and expert guidance in both fundamental and specialized economic fields. The university has been home to renowned economists, including three Nobel laureates. Cross-disciplinary learning is strongly encouraged, with numerous courses collaborating across various university departments. The MA Economics program caters to increasing demand for degrees that blend rigorous training in microeconomic and macroeconomic theory with quantitative approaches and practical, research-based economic applications. This program distinguishes itself from Manchester's MSc Economics by emphasizing core yet less theoretical components in its curriculum.
