The EngD in Computer Systems Engineering focuses on next-generation processor technologies, embedded systems, and FPGA system advancements. Our program collaborates with diverse partners to conduct pioneering, industry-aligned research tackling practical engineering problems. Whether you're currently involved in computer hardware/embedded systems or seeking specialized training to transition into this field, this EngD is designed for you. Participants typically dedicate 75-80% of their time to company-based research projects (4-6 flexible, graduate-level initiatives), with the remaining time devoted to academic training in advanced processor concepts. Under faculty supervision, you'll enhance your industry projects by addressing their research challenges. The program also offers customized Advanced Masters courses to complement the built-in research training integral to the EngD curriculum.
