Our BSc Zoology with Industrial/Professional Experience program allows you to complete a year-long work placement during your studies, enhancing your employability after graduation. This degree explores animal behavior, physiology, conservation, ecology, and evolution through diverse scientific approaches. You'll employ genetic analysis, behavioral observation, and advanced statistical methods to investigate key questions about wildlife. The curriculum begins with foundational concepts across multiple disciplines in Year 1, progressing to specialized zoology subjects in subsequent years. Fieldwork is integral to our program, featuring two residential courses - including potential study in South Africa. During Year 3, you can undertake an approved placement with our partner organizations worldwide or arrange your own approved internship through the School of Biological Sciences.

A-level Practical skills are a crucial part of science education and therefore there will be a requirement to pass the practical element of any science A-level taken.
