Our three-year Bachelor of Science program in Earth and Planetary Sciences offers a comprehensive approach to understanding Earth's systems, enabling students to draw insights from history, analyze current conditions, and shape tomorrow's solutions.
As Earth Science intersects with multiple scientific disciplines, it presents a compelling alternative to single-subject degrees in mathematics, physics, chemistry, geography, or biology, while unlocking diverse professional opportunities. Throughout this program, you'll decode Earth's 4.5-billion-year history, exploring our solar system's origins, the progression of life forms, and environmental transformations, alongside examining sustainable approaches to Earth's energy and resource management. The surrounding UK landscapes provide exceptional natural laboratories for hands-on learning. You'll join an active academic community addressing critical global concerns, where your studies could contribute to tackling humanity's most significant challenges.
