Our BSc Biology with Science and Society program allows you to examine biological sciences alongside their modern societal implications, blending scientific study with humanities and social sciences in one comprehensive curriculum. You'll investigate evolving social, ethical, and political aspects of biology while honing research, writing, and communication abilities. Instruction comes from faculty at our prestigious Centre for the History of Science, Technology and Medicine, with expertise spanning from genetics' historical impact to evolutionary biology, biomedical fields, and contemporary healthcare. The program includes science media initiatives where you'll create communication materials like scientific articles or podcasts. Additionally, through our professional placement option, you can gain practical experience at science communication organizations such as medical publishers or museums.
A-level We require grades AAA-AAB, including two of Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Mathematics (the Core Sciences ). You must have a minimum of grades AA in at least two Core Sciences. Applicants predicted/who have achieved a B in their third A level will receive an offer of AAB, while those predicted/who have achieved an A or A* will be eligible for an offer of AAA. International Baccalaureate 35-36 points overall with 6, 6, 5 to 6, 6, 6 at Higher Level including two science subjects, normally Biology and Chemistry. GCSE/IGCSE English Language grade 4 or C; IELTS 6.5 (with no less than 6.5 in any component),TOEFL iBT 90
