Launch your career in mechatronic engineering at Manchester, an institution renowned for its engineering excellence and forward-thinking approach. Mechatronics combines mechanical engineering with advanced electronics, playing a crucial role in fields like industrial automation and robotics. For a mechatronic system to manipulate an object, it must first locate it, then precisely move and position it as needed. This process relies on sensors that gather data about location, orientation, and visual or auditory cues. These electrical signals are processed to direct actuators in performing specific tasks. Mastery of feedback control is essential too, ensuring smooth transitions between positions without unwanted vibrations or erratic behavior. Through this program, you'll acquire the skills to design and build sophisticated mechatronic systems.
