Launch your career in mechatronic engineering at Manchester, an institution renowned for its engineering legacy and forward-thinking approach. Mechatronics combines mechanical engineering with advanced electronics, playing a crucial role in fields like industrial automation and robotic systems.
For a mechatronic system to manipulate an object, it needs to locate it precisely, control its movement, and position it accurately. This process relies on sensors that gather data about location, orientation, and visual or auditory cues. The system then processes these electrical signals and directs actuators to execute the necessary actions.

Mastering feedback control is essential to ensure smooth transitions between stable positions without unwanted vibrations or erratic behavior. Throughout this program, you'll acquire the skills needed to design and develop sophisticated mechatronic systems with intelligent functionality.
