The BA in History and Spanish allows you to explore diverse historical periods that capture your interest, spanning ancient, medieval, modern, economic, and social history, as well as the history of science, technology, and medicine. You'll also gain comprehensive knowledge of Spanish language and culture, with the option to study Catalan. History Our program features one of the UK's most varied history curricula, encompassing nearly every era of human civilization. Course units examine British, European, American, Asian, and African histories, from classical Greece and Rome through medieval times to the modern age. You'll encounter multiple historical perspectives, including political, economic, gender, social, cultural, and colonial approaches. Spanish In addition to language studies, you can examine visual culture (including film), regional histories, linguistics, and literature. Our faculty's extensive expertise in Spanish and Latin American studies ensures an exceptionally rich and diverse academic program.

Qualification Requirements

A-level AAB including A in History. The University recognises the benefit of the Extended Project Qualification (EPQ) and the opportunities it provides for applicants to develop independent study and research skills. We strongly encourage you to provide information about the EPQ in your personal statement and at interview. For this programme, as well as the regular conditions of offer, we may make students who are currently taking or completed the EPQ an alternative offer. For this course it would be ABB including A in History at A level plus the Extended Project at Grade A. GCSE Applicants must demonstrate a broad general education including acceptable levels of Literacy and Numeracy, equivalent to at least Grade C or 4 in GCSE/iGCSE English Language and Mathematics. GCSE/iGCSE English Literature will not be accepted in lieu of GCSE/iGCSE English Language. International Baccalaureate 35 points overall. 6,6,5 in Higher Level subjects (including 6 in History) IELTS 7.0 overall with no less than 6.5 in any one component, TOEFL iBT - 100
