Our Bachelor of Arts in Film Studies and Linguistics program allows you to explore cinema through various historical and theoretical lenses while investigating the distinctive human capacity for language. Through structured coursework and film screenings, you'll examine both classic and modern movies spanning diverse global film traditions. The curriculum includes analysis of mainstream and independent cinema to expand your knowledge of film history, along with contemporary discussions and challenges influencing the art form's evolution. You'll gain insights into how films interact with social, cultural, and political themes, situating cinematic works within their historical periods while considering present-day discourse and future developments in the medium. With a focus on analytical rather than production-based approaches, the program fosters independent critical thinking skills through varied assessment methods including individual written work, presentations, and selected group projects that allow theoretical application.
