Specializations include English, American, Irish, and post-colonial literatures, alongside cultural theory, creative writing, and film studies. The program incorporates various literary and non-literary forms, including cinematic works, musical pieces, and texts from the Anglo-Saxon period through modern times. Take advantage of our vibrant research community in English and American Studies, featuring over 12 active research groups examining everything from ancient literature to 21st century works and films. Creative writing electives become available during your second and third years.
