Our BA in Ancient History and Archaeology lets you blend archaeological methods with the exploration of ancient civilizations' cultures and histories.
Humanity forms the core of our programs, including investigations into how Roman rulers employed architecture for political messaging.
We also apply scientific techniques to analyze artifacts, skeletal remains, and historical landscapes. The curriculum covers Mediterranean empires while examining archaeological sites across Britain, Western Europe, classical civilizations, and the Near East.
You'll have chances to learn ancient languages and participate in professional archaeological digs, mastering both historical and material approaches to antiquity while developing crucial analytical and interpretive skills.
Learn about Ancient Egypt, Ancient Mediterranean empires, and the Greek and Roman worlds alongside the archaeology of Britain and wider Western Europe.
A-level ABB GCSE Applicants must demonstrate a broad general education including acceptable levels of Literacy and Numeracy, equivalent to at least Grade C or 4 in GCSE/iGCSE English Language and Mathematics. GCSE/iGCSE English Literature will not be accepted in lieu of GCSE/iGCSE English Language. International Baccalaureate 34 points overall. 6,5,5 in Higher Level subjects IELTS 7.0 overall with no less than 6.5 in any one component, TOEFL iBT - 100
