We've created the Centre for Global Vaccine Research to unite top-tier multidisciplinary studies and training in laboratory science, clinical trials, and epidemiology within the Institute of Infection and Global Health. This initiative extends across the Faculty of Health and Life Sciences and collaborates with international partners. The University of Liverpool's Institute of Infection and Global Health was founded to connect leading researchers from medical, veterinary, and basic science disciplines throughout the Faculty.
Currently, the Centre for Global Vaccine Research operates across Europe, Asia, Africa, and has recently expanded to South America. Our work covers the entire spectrum of vaccine research, from development through implementation to assessment.
The primary objectives of this research include:
Creating and assessing innovative vaccines targeting major global health threats
Enhancing our understanding and effectiveness of current vaccines
Producing data to guide vaccine policies at national and international levels
Facilitating knowledge exchange between human and veterinary vaccine specialists
Educating and training future generations of vaccine researchers.
