Focusing on 'sustainable revitalization', the program highlights its academic significance and real-world applications. Our faculty members possess diverse research expertise and welcome discussions about potential research topics. Doctoral candidates will conduct innovative studies, contribute to academic discourse, and expand knowledge in their field.
The Design School strives to conduct cutting-edge research while equipping graduates for professional opportunities in academia and other sectors. We expect our graduates to push beyond existing knowledge boundaries and emerge as pioneers in their specialized areas.
As a doctoral researcher, you'll conduct your studies at XJTLU with expert guidance. You'll be assigned a primary supervisor from XJTLU's full-time faculty, along with a secondary supervisor from the University of Liverpool.
Full-time PhD studies generally consist of three years of research followed by one year of thesis writing, complemented by specialized training and skill development. Full-time candidates must complete their thesis within four years (or six years for part-time students).
