The PhD in Public Health offers top-tier education and specialized training in public health disciplines. Leveraging Xian Jiaotong-Liverpool University's global and dynamic research ecosystem, it prepares graduates for research roles across diverse environments while developing advanced technical expertise.
This program primarily focuses on independent research. Participants enroll as off-site postgraduate research students through the University of Liverpool while conducting their studies at XJTLU facilities under joint supervision from both institutions.
Full-time PhD candidates typically dedicate three years to research followed by one year for thesis preparation, complemented by professional development training. The maximum completion period is four years for full-time students (or six years for part-time candidates).
Jointly administered by XJTLU and the University of Liverpool, successful graduates earn a University of Liverpool degree certified by China's Ministry of Education.
