Organizations across all sectors now navigate an increasingly intricate landscape characterized by rapid digital transformation, fragmented media channels, uncertain global economic and political climates, and rising public distrust. This has created significant demand for communication professionals capable of assisting organizations in restoring confidence, managing reputations, and achieving broader strategic objectives.
The MSc in Strategic Communication provides an interdisciplinary education with unique emphasis on:

How business executives, government bodies, public organizations, non-profits, and public figures employ storytelling and persuasive techniques to foster stakeholder engagement and rebuild credibility, particularly during critical situations.
The impact of digital platforms, especially social networks, on strategic messaging and organizational planning.
Various strategic communication applications (including financial communications, political campaigns, crisis response, brand management, policy advocacy, and corporate mergers): examining how discourse strategies both influence and are shaped by these contexts.
This program blends theoretical frameworks with practical competencies essential for diverse strategic communication initiatives - from articulating organizational identity and responding to emergencies to launching products, managing corporate transitions, and executing political or social campaigns.

Students will develop skills to identify communication challenges aligned with organizational priorities, assess situational factors and target audiences, craft legally/ethically compliant yet compelling messages, and leverage both traditional and emerging media platforms for effective stakeholder engagement.

Hands-on learning includes activities like creating persuasive presentations, developing digital marketing initiatives, and producing real-time digital content for actual client scenarios.

The curriculum facilitates regular engagement with industry practitioners, offering insights into professional environments and contemporary strategic communication challenges. The capstone project allows students to pursue either academic research or an applied project in partnership with an organization.
