This program enables you to explore specialized topics of personal interest while gaining comprehensive knowledge of the subject. The Master of Biological Sciences (MBiol) is a four-year course where students complete the three-year BSc in Biological Sciences before advancing to a fourth year, contingent on academic achievement.
During the initial three years, you'll examine diverse modules covering various biological disciplines, from human health, molecular analysis, and treatments to wildlife behavior, environmental preservation, ecosystems, and animal biology, with chances to focus on specific areas and conduct independent research.
The fourth (Master's) year focuses on refining research abilities and professional competencies for those pursuing advanced research careers (such as PhD studies or industry roles) or aiming to strengthen their credentials. Participants will collaborate with a research group to complete an extensive project. Additionally, students may pursue a six-week summer research placement domestically or abroad or opt for industry experience or other professional engagements in their final year.
