The Master of Archives and Records Management (MARM) program holds accreditation from the Archives and Records Association, serving as the benchmark qualification for archivists and records professionals across the UK and Ireland. The MARM Digital Pathway specifically caters to individuals seeking careers in digital archiving or records management. This program equips students with essential expertise for archival and records careers across diverse sectors including research, corporate environments, government agencies, academic institutions, and other organizations requiring qualified specialists.

The digital pathway allows students to select from a broader array of elective modules focused on digital record preservation, making it ideal for aspiring digital archivists or records managers who may not require palaeography training.

Our curriculum prepares you to maintain the accountability and transparency crucial for proper governance and efficient operations within organizations, while also addressing the requirements of archive users in cultural and heritage settings.

With a strong emphasis on practical application, students benefit from connections to the Liverpool University Centre for Archive Studies (LUCAS), which oversees our research initiatives and community engagement programs.

This study pathway offers flexible full-time and part-time options for on-campus learning.
