Our Sociology with Criminology program enables students to explore two interconnected fields, addressing pressing contemporary social challenges. Sociology, constituting 75% of the curriculum, examines societal structures and their operations. How is our current society organized? Does it work efficiently? Is it equitable and just? How do other societies compare? Our sociological approach emphasizes critical analysis, probing issues of power, social disparities, and systemic injustices.

Criminology, the secondary focus, investigates crime as a universal societal phenomenon. What constitutes criminal behavior? Who commits offenses and who suffers from them? How do different societies handle crime, offenders, and victims? Our criminological perspective similarly adopts a critical stance, questioning how criminal definitions are established, which crime prevention strategies are employed, and why experiences of crime and justice vary across social groups and nations.

Combining these disciplines allows engagement with vital modern social questions. The curriculum promotes critical analysis of key theories and concepts while developing analytical, research, and communication abilities. Instruction comes from internationally recognized scholars, featuring research-informed teaching methods including practical learning opportunities. Students can customize their studies to align with personal interests and career goals.

This program suits those curious about societal mechanisms, existing inequities, and their manifestations in crime and justice systems.

This three-year degree combines required and elective modules, each focusing on specific topics, debates, or skill development. All modules are taught by subject specialists in their respective fields.
