As a PhD candidate, you'll engage in innovative research within culture and heritage management, aiming to substantially advance knowledge in this discipline. The program focuses on fostering your independent analytical inquiry under the guidance of an expert academic team. You'll gain from involvement in both the Visitor Economy Research Group and the University's Heritage and Archives Network. Access to our Doctoral School's comprehensive training program will help develop essential practical and analytical skills valuable for both your studies and future career. Teaching opportunities for undergraduate courses may become available after appropriate preparation. Typically, students initially enroll in the MPhil program, transitioning to PhD status within 12 months (or 24 months for part-time students) upon submitting and successfully defending a comprehensive research proposal during a transfer examination. This progression requires formal approval from the University's Research Committees.
