The MSc in Developmental Psychology explores social, emotional, and cognitive development throughout the human lifespan, covering childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. This program is ideal for graduates seeking to broaden their understanding of developmental psychology while specializing in this field. The School of Psychology is gaining recognition as a hub for developmental psychology research, with strengths in cognitive development, language acquisition, autism studies, motor skills development, and human-animal interactions. The school's research has practical applications, such as developing tools to prevent dog bites in children by studying canine facial expressions. Students may utilize the specialized Lincoln Infant and Child Development Lab, featuring preferential looking, listening, and eye-tracking equipment, along with motor labs and other developmental research facilities. Full-time students attend classes two days weekly, while part-time students attend one day, with schedules subject to timetabling.
