The School of Mathematics and Physics operates from specialized facilities within the University's Isaac Newton Building, delivering diverse programs in both fields. Our Mathematics curriculum delivers core training in mathematical principles, covering both theoretical and practical applications, while Physics programs integrate foundational and applied physics with comprehensive mathematical and computational instruction. Foundation year options serve as alternative pathways into these complete degree programs.
After successfully finishing the Science Foundation Year, learners advance to the first year of their selected degree. This results in a four-year study period for a standard bachelor's degree, extending to five years for integrated Master's programs. Graduates' final qualifications will denote the complete course name, such as BSc Physics with Science Foundation Year.
