Sports journalism has evolved into a vital and esteemed component of modern media organizations. This Master's program blends a love for sports with professional journalistic training, equipping graduates for dynamic careers in the field. Lincoln University fosters a digital newsroom environment where students hone their abilities to cover both local and national sports events. Through hands-on workshops and seminars, participants can create and broadcast their own sports programming. The curriculum includes a ten-day professional placement, providing real-world experience. Past students have interned with prominent outlets like BBC Sport, BBC Radio 5 Live, talkSPORT, and ITV. Note that placement-related expenses (travel, accommodation, living costs) are the student's responsibility. The course frequently hosts industry guest speakers, with past visitors including Roger Mosey (BBC Director of London 2012), Jonathan Wall (Controller of 5 Live), David Hall (FourFourTwo Editor), and Clive Tyldesley (ITV commentator).
