Lincoln's Mechatronics program offers students opportunities to develop or oversee systems that integrate competencies from both mechanical and electrical engineering disciplines. This adaptable approach enables diverse applications, preparing learners to navigate the ever-changing technological landscape and employment sector.
Initial coursework establishes fundamental knowledge in mathematics, computing, mechanical and electrical engineering, along with industrial automation technologies. The second year features an Innovation Project module, offering students their first hands-on experience with contemporary mechanical systems.
In the final year, participants can strengthen their practical skills through an independent research project focused on mechatronics engineering principles.
