The Arts Foundation Year at Lincoln serves as the first year of a comprehensive four-year degree program, offering an alternative pathway to various arts degrees within the College of Arts. This includes disciplines such as Animation and Visual Effects, Architecture, Graphic Design, Creative Advertising, Illustration, Interior Architecture and Design, Design for Event, Exhibition and Performance, Fashion, Fine Art, Photography, and Product Design. The Arts Foundation Year fosters a collaborative, interdisciplinary learning environment where students from all specializations follow a shared curriculum. Tailored for those who may need additional time to adapt to university-level studies, are undecided about their focus area, didn't achieve their expected grades, or are re-entering education, the program encourages exploration of both practical and theoretical aspects of creative fields. Through experimental projects, design methodologies, hands-on workshops, and critical analysis, students can develop their skills and confidence.

Interior architecture blends aesthetics with functionality and philosophy, shaping the environments we inhabit. Lincoln's Interior Architecture and Design program adopts a multidisciplinary approach, bridging the academic depth of architecture with the dynamic realm of modern design and visual culture. Students refine their practical design expertise in specialized studio settings, guided by industry-active educators like Tonia Warsap and Rosie Elvin. The curriculum delves into design industry practices and construction techniques while nurturing each student's unique creative voice. Complementing studio work, lectures and seminars provide a robust understanding of architecture's social and historical context. Throughout the course, students can gain hands-on experience through real-world projects and internships with leading interior design and architectural firms.
