From global warming to healthcare disparities, and from sustainable food systems to environmental catastrophes, geography plays a central role in addressing humanity's most pressing issues. At Lincoln, we maintain that tackling these complex problems demands a holistic geographical approach to comprehend the intricate connections between people and their surroundings - a philosophy that permeates both our academic programs and scholarly investigations.

Our BA (Hons) Geography program examines worldwide concerns through a social science lens, analyzing globalization, sustainability, political geography, and cultural transformation across various scales. The curriculum fosters analytical thinking, critical evaluation, and teamwork abilities essential for navigating multifaceted, cross-disciplinary subjects. Structured to incrementally build geographical knowledge and competencies through practical applications, this course empowers students to address modern global issues, resulting in a qualification that's pertinent to 21st-century environmental and social dilemmas.

Central to our methodology is the conviction that solving significant problems requires integrated knowledge from multiple fields. Our faculty members are accomplished researchers who collaborate on critical and emerging topics in international development throughout human geography and associated fields. Through our 'Student as Producer' program, undergraduates have opportunities to participate in research initiatives, working alongside faculty members on academic projects that leverage staff expertise.
