Computer science is a dynamic and multifaceted field encompassing everything from overseeing large-scale IT initiatives to pioneering new scientific theories and technologies. We adopt an energetic, methodical, and academically rigorous approach to computing. Our faculty members have significantly contributed to shaping contemporary developments in Informatics, which directly influences our curriculum featuring advanced and creative course offerings. Doctoral candidates undertake self-directed research projects with support from an advisory team. Typically, full-time students complete their research within 3-3.5 years, while part-time students have 6-6.5 years. An additional year (or remaining portion) may be utilized for thesis preparation before submission. The dissertation, limited to 50,000 words, must demonstrate original scholarly contributions and research worthy of publication. Final degree conferral requires successful defense of the thesis during an oral examination.
