Our PGCE programs combine theoretical learning on campus with practical school placements. The campus sessions establish core teaching principles, while the placements allow you to implement these concepts across diverse classroom environments. You'll gain experience in different school settings - urban, suburban, or rural, in both private and public sectors - ensuring comprehensive exposure. Our faculty consists of distinguished academics with extensive teaching backgrounds. By integrating cutting-edge research from the School of Education and beyond with practical teaching expertise, we create optimal conditions for aspiring educators to develop their skills and reflective practice.
Geography, Religious Education, and History specialists train together in our Humanities PGCE cohort. While receiving subject-specific instruction, you'll also explore interdisciplinary approaches within Humanities education. Both teaching placements focus on your chosen specialization. History, one of the longest-established school subjects, has evolved significantly in recent years. We champion an engaging, intellectually stimulating approach to History education that challenges students.
