The very notion of universal human rights remains fiercely debated. This program tackles these challenges from both practical and theoretical standpoints. It further prompts you to evaluate international political matters through the lens of global morality, examining the ethical dimensions of institutional frameworks, international relations, and commerce. Through this curriculum, you'll acquire comprehensive knowledge of core human rights principles and ethical frameworks. You'll expand your understanding of diverse theoretical approaches and policy viewpoints regarding various moral dilemmas. The program also provides intensive examination of the international political landscape surrounding urgent ethical concerns, encompassing state conduct and interactions between governmental and non-governmental entities. Additionally, you may select specialized courses in International Human Rights Law. You'll enhance your research capabilities and conduct extensive dissertation-level investigations into human rights and global ethics, drawing upon faculty expertise in fields such as intelligence studies, modern slavery, civic rights, forced migration, animal welfare, national security, and warfare. This qualification will provide you with the analytical tools and practical skills to engage with current human rights discussions, enabling you to assess political and international affairs through normative, theoretical, and evidence-based methodologies.
